OUTLOOK Despite being 4-1, Plano’s four wins have all come against teams with losing records, the latest a 30-14 win over Lisle. The Reapers will present a major test to the Westmont defense, as they have scored 26 points or more in every game except their lone loss (36-8 to a four-win Herscher team). The teams have just one common opponent — Plano edged Sandwich 28-27, two weeks after the Sentinels lost to the team by a 45-12 score. Westmont has allowed 42 or more points in each of its first four games.

Westmont came ready to play Friday as heavy underdogs at Wilmington. But the brilliant play that produced a 0-0 tie in the first quarter with the powerful Wildcats (4-0) dimmed briefly but very harshly before halftime.<
